Who We Are

Rochdale And Oldham Active Recovery (ROAR) provides an integrated drug and alcohol service across the boroughs of Rochdale and Oldham.

We offer a medically-assisted recovery programme with support to help deal with addiction issues and access to detoxification and rehabilitation programmes. We also offer support for getting back into employment with our IPS employment support team.

How We Support You

What we offer

We have two main hubs – Rochdale and Oldham. We also run a number of satellite services as we want to make accessing support as easy as possible. Each location has a welcoming environment – a place where you can come in, register yourself, take control, and begin your recovery.

Recovery can sometimes feel hard. Our service supports you as a whole person helping you find the fun in life again.

One of our team will support you to build a treatment plan based on your circumstances. To get the best of our treatment options you will need to commit to attending the sessions.

Community Support & Employment Support

Asset-based community support to maximise success of the recovery journey, support with access to employment, training and education. Access to our digital platform MyTurningPoint, and tenancy and housing support.

Further Support

Full psycho-social workshop programme underwritten by clinical psychologists, harm reduction and needle exchange provision, and aftercare  and recovery support which includes SMART Recovery and relapse prevention.

Preventing Overdose

To help reduce drug-related deaths we provide free overdose response Naloxone kits to people at risk of an opioid overdose, their family and friends, and members of the public who could help prevent an overdose.

Naloxone is a medication that can quickly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, including those related to heroin, methadone, morphine, buprenorphine, codeine and synthetic opioids, like nitazenes and fentanyl. Order yourself a kit through our Naloxone Click & Deliver service and help save lives.
