Our role in the Complex Needs and Dual Diagnosis APPG
The Complex Needs and Dual Diagnosis APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) was established in 2007, recognising that people seeking help often have a number of overlapping needs, including challenges accessing housing, employment opportunities, mental health services or substance use support. Turning Point act as the APPG secretariat.
A connected team with a commitment to positive change
With over 5,400 people spread across 283 sites in England and supporting over 197,000 people, we work closely with local authority adult social care and public health teams, the NHS, HM Prison and Probation service, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Work and Pensions.
By working together to bring about positive change in people’s lives, we can create enduring value for communities and society as a whole.
“My confidence began to grow and I was learning to become more sociable without having to use any substances. I had a great sense of control and freedom back.“
