By giving yourself time to focus on receiving support, you can work towards regaining control over your substance use and your overall well-being.

What support will I get?

Once you take the first step and reach out for help, you will be allocated a SDAS Key Worker and a Peer Mentor.

The Key Worker will work with you to create a personalised treatment plan that identifies your goals and recommended support options. You will have regular check-ins to ensure you are moving forward in the right direction and adjustments can be made where necessary.

How will the Peer Mentors support me?

Our Peer Mentors, who have overcome similar challenges, can provide you with invaluable support during your treatment. They will be able to empathise and share their coping strategies and experiences, which should help to motivate and empower you on your journey to achieving your own goals.

How will this support me to find work?

Receiving support from us can open opportunities for you to explore new avenues, such as becoming a Peer Mentor and gaining accredited qualifications or volunteering to gain valuable work experience in different capacities like support work, clinical roles, or administrative positions, depending on your previous experience.

What is expected from me?

We ask for your commitment to the agreed treatment plan and attending all appointments and sessions while working with us. During this process, you can continue to receive your individual benefits package, allowing you the time and support needed to focus on your recovery and personal growth.
