Turning Point Chief Executive Julie Bass, responds to the Autumn Budget

We welcome the Chancellor’s commitment to delivering a fairer welfare system, increasing pay for the lowest earners, additional investment for devolved government and new initiatives to reduce youth unemployment.   
 
The voluntary and social enterprise sector play a key role in realising the government’s mission to drive local growth and create healthier, more resilient communities. We support the increase to the national living wage. However, it is important that the government recognises the impact rising costs has on health and social care providers, many of which are voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.
