David and John left Wakefield bright and early, and caught the train at 10am and, after a slight delay, arrived in London three hours later, making sure to eat some lunch on the train.
Once in London, David and John decided to walk instead of using the tube. It was a lovely day, and the walk took about an hour, getting them to the Shrek Experience just in time. The Shrek Experience was an interactive walk-through fairytale adventure that both enjoyed, including meeting Shrek.
After the Shrek Experience, John spotted the London Eye nearby and wanted to take a ride on it. David was hesitant at first but agreed to go on it after learning it wouldn't feel like it was moving. They both used binoculars to see across the London skyline and enjoyed the half-hour ride.
They then journeyed back to London King's Cross, stopping at McDonald's for a meal. It was a busy but fun day, and they returned to New Street at 10pm, tired but happy with the day.
David and John's trip to London shows their adventurous spirit and the support they receive to experience new activities. Their story highlights the positive impact of supported living, enabling them to enjoy memorable experiences.
