The campaign theme, Remember. Prevent. Act. Support., provides an opportunity throughout August and beyond to:
- Remember those who have died from overdose
- Raise awareness of overdose risks
- Promote harm reduction advice
- Increase access to naloxone and other life-saving interventions
- Signpost people into local support services
- Encourage conversations about substance use without stigma
This year's toolkit has been designed to help services prepare for our Messages & Memories events, bringing communities together to remember loved ones lost to overdose while raising awareness of prevention and support.
Our Virtual Messages and Memory Display
We know that not everyone can attend one of our local service events or visit a service in person. That's why we're giving you the opportunity to submit a message or a memory of a friend or loved one online.
This gives people the opportunity to anonymously share a message of remembrance, hope or support. Submitted messages will be featured across the Turning Point website and social media channels throughout the campaign.
Individuals can submit a message here:🔗 https://mytp.me/overdose-message
Together, we can honour those we've lost, raise awareness of overdose prevention, and help more people access the support they need.
