Joined by friends, other people we support, and staff, Clare marked the occasion by having an ice cream van parked outside her home which she said was the highlight of the day. The idea held special meaning for Clare, as it reminded her of her childhood.
The afternoon was full of smiles, laughter and joyful moments as people enjoyed an ice cream together and celebrated Clare's achievement. The celebration was made even more special with flowers and cards from Turning Point staff and managers.
During the event, Clare shared a heartfelt speech and a written reflection about her experiences over the past decade. In her statement, Clare wrote:
“My 10 years with Turning Point has had its ups and downs, but on the whole, I’ve enjoyed Turning Point’s support. I really love the team I have now...Thank you for the great support and so long will it continue – next one in 20 years and so on.”
Clare’s words highlighted the positive relationships she has built with both her support team and the community, and the progress she has made during her time with Turning Point. We are proud to have been part of Clare's journey and look forward to celebrating more milestones with her in the years to come.
Congratulations, Clare.
