Nottingham Connect is a peer support programme that aims to provide people with a range of skills to help them manage in a crisis, navigate through difficult emotions and distress resulting in new and healthy ways of coping.
The service places a strong emphasis on connecting individuals through peer support. An indirect benefit of the service includes a reduction in accessing secondary support services.
Our service is for:
People who would benefit from developing a range of skills helping them manage in a crisis.
People who need help navigating through periods of heightened stress, difficult emotions, distress, and situations that may cause a mental health crisis.
Our service has been co-developed by our Clinical Psychologist, Peer Mentors, Assistant Psychologists, and Service Manager. Feedback that has been provided by those that have completed the Nottingham Connect programme which has been used to inform the development of these additional programmes.
