Previous meetings:

Wednesday 14 March 2012: This meeting was on the role of the National Inclusion Helath Board, in particular reference to its work with the homeless and Gypsy Roma Traveller communities. Professor Steve Field was mongst the speakers. Minutes are availabe here. We hope to follow this meeting up in June.

Monday 6 February 2012: This joint meeting was held with the Social Care Minister, Paul Burstow MP o dicsuss the forthcoming Social Care White Paper. The minutes from the meetings can be found here. Three letters were also sent following this meeting to the Prime Minister, Minister for Disability, Maria Miller, nd Minister for Social Care, Paul Burstow.

Wednesday 18 January 2012: This meeting was held with the Revolving Doors Agency and the Making Every Every Adult Matter Coalition (MEAM) on ‘Multiple Needs and Exclusions: Efficiency and Social Justice’. Discussion referred to the report 'Turning the Tide: A vision paper for multiple needs and exclusions'  and the Government's forthcoming Social Justice Strategy. Wednesday 2 November 2011: Our November meeting was held in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health on the issue of blockages within forensic mental health services. Speakers included Sean Duggan from the Centre for Mental Health, Anne McDonald from the Department of Health and Ian, an expert by experience. The minutes from this meeting are available here. Wednesday 14 September 2011: This was a meeting on how Payment by Results can work for people with complex needs and those with a dual or multi-diagnosis. The meeting was hosted by David Burrowes MP, PPS to The Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP. This was the first of a series of meeting the Group will hold on this subject. The next will be in April 2012 and involve the pilot areas. The minutes of this meeting are available here

Monday 11 July 2011: This was a joint meeting on the Dilnot Commission of the APPGs on Disability, Social Care, Carers, Housing and Care for Older People, Dementia, Ageing and Older People and Complex Needs and Dual Diagnosis. The Chairs of all the APPGs also sent a letter to David Cameron following the meeting which can be found here.

Wednesday 15 June 2011: This was the AGM, followed by a discussion on the issues around transition from young people to adults services, particularly in regard to those at risk or in contact with the criminal justice system. The minutes are now available along with two documents referred to at the meeting: the initial figures leading to and the evaluation of the North Devon Custody Referral project. 

Wednesday 18 May 2011: A Special APPG on the NHS Future Forum. Please find our response which was shared directly with Forum members prioir to their meeting with the Prime Minister and also submitted formally to the Department of Health.

Monday 16 May 2011: Please find the minutes for the Joint meeting with the APPDG, APPG on Social Care plus others on the publication of the Law Commission's review. Paul Burstow MP was amongst the speakers.

Wednesday 30 March 2011: This meeting discussed the Bradley Review and how the recommendations in the report are being taken forward under the new Government. Please find the minutes of the meeting along with the presentation slides from our speakers Lord Bradley and Richard Bradshaw, Director of Offender Health at the Department of Health.
