Welcome to Turning Point Waltham Forest. We offer information, advice and support for anyone over 18 concerned about their own or somebody else's drug or alcohol use.

You have to keep pushing forward. I’m now getting on better with my family. I feel accepted again, and the panic has started to slow down.

What we do

Turning Point Waltham Forest operates across two sites in Walthamstow. Services are tailored to meet the needs of the individual to address not only drug and alcohol misuse but other areas of the individuals life which may impact on their substance use.

Who we can support

Our free and confidential services are open to anyone aged 18 and over who is concerned about their own or someone else's drug or alcohol use.

Our services include

  • Advice and information
  • Guided self help
  • Needle exchange
  • Access to Blood Bourne Virus (BBV) testing and vaccination
  • Information in other languages, including a polish speaking worker
  • One to one keyworking
  • Group work
  • Medically assisted detox
  • Assessment and (if appropriate) referral to residential rehab
  • Complementary therapies
  • Onward referral and signposting to other agencies including counselling, housing support, debt and benefits advice and education employment and training
  • Relapse prevention
  • Support via peer mentors
  • STARS weekend social service
  • Evening opening times
  • Relative and carer support
