Residential detox and rehabilitation services
An important element for many individuals’ care plans and treatment is having access to professional detox and residential rehabilitation (rehab) services. Turning Point has seven such services in the following locations:

A 12 bed alcohol rehabilitation service, with a person centred approach to all activities. We offer a comprehensive therapeutic treatment programme, delivered by highly qualified staff – from NVQ level three through to degree level.

Who is our service for?
For both men and women from 18-65 who are seeking help with their alcohol misuse. Service users must be abstinent to join the programme. We also support individuals who have had psychiatric issues in the past.
Key features of our service:
- CQC 3* Excellent rated service
- Our programme delivers excellence in its attention to individual needs (PCA)
- Retention and completion figures are above the national average
- Provision of either a three or six month programme of care
- Access to second stage housing within the local community.

Turning Point Chester
A 14 bed rehabilitation service provided through a 10 bed house with 24 hour staffing and a four bedroom house where service users live more independently.

Who is our service for?
For both men and women from 18-65 who have a history of drug and/or alcohol misuse. Service users must be abstinent to join the programme.
Key features of our service:
- CQC 3* Excellent rated service
- 24 hour staffing with sleep ins and single cover on-call
- Second stage housing to help service users prepare for leaving rehabilitation
- Optional 12 or 24 week programme of care
- A six week after-care service for service users who have completed their rehabilitation.

Hartley House is a well established 12 bed alcohol rehabilitation service located in Ealing, West London. Utilising a person centred approach we provide an individual and group-work counselling programme.

Who is our service for?
For both men and women aged 18+ who are able to self medicate and do not require nursing care. Service users must also be abstinent to join the programme.
Key features of our service:
- CQC 3* Excellent rated service
- A 12 or 24 week programme of care is available
- Access to Turning Point Supporting People service, Milliken House for step-down care
- A weekly ex-residents group is available for those service users who have completed their rehabilitation.

Our 5 bed residential rehabilitation service located close to Middleton town centre, offering easy access into Manchester & Rochdale. As one of Turning Point’s smaller rehab services, Richards House proves ideal from those who may ‘shy’ away from crowds.

Who is our service for?
For both men and women from 18-65 who have a history of primarily alcohol misuse. and/or secondary drug use. Service users must be abstinent to join the programme.
Key features of our service:
- - CQC 3* Excellent rated service
- A three or six month programme of care is available
- Integrated care pathway into off-site Supported Housing as second stage of recovery
- Will accept those on prescribed opiate / substitute medication

Smithfield Services is a 22 bed residential nurse led detoxification unit, providing 24 hour care. Located in Manchester city centre, Smithfield treats up to 600 service users a year.

Who is our service for?
For both men and women who have a dependency on alcohol and/or drugs who need residential in-patient care due to their health or social care needs.
Key features of our service:
- Better than national average waiting times - service uses are guaranteed to be admitted within three weeks of their referral, unless there is a requested delay.
- We work closely with service users to design their treatment pathway to maximise outcomes
- Work closely with PCTs incorporating their governance arrangements
- Will take direct admissions from hospital for service users from A & E
- Will work in partnership with Local Authorities to ensure LAA targets are met.

Stanfield House is a residential rehabilitation service for individuals who wish to recover from substance misuse problems. The service provides a 12 week evidenced based programme, with the option of a further 12 week community re-integration programme.

For both men and women from 18-65 who have a history of drug and/or alcohol misuse. Service users must be abstinent to join the programme.

- Strong user led focus with excellent links within the local community
- A six week after-care service for service users who have completed their rehabilitation.

Who is our service for?
For both men and women from 18-65 who have a history of drug and/or alcohol misuse. Service users must be abstinent to join the programme.
Key features of our service:
- CQC 3* Excellent rated service
- Retention rates exceed NTA Guidelines - clients average residency is six months
- Integrated care pathway into off-site Supported Housing as second stage of recovery
On-site peer support of those who have been in recovery for up to two years
