Drug services
Drug treatment that offers choice
Turning Point has been working with drug misusers for 40 years, so when it comes to helping people to address their drug problems we can use our experience to design a service which meets their individual needs.
We understand that the people that come to us have different requirements and we use a person centred approach to treatment to find the best approach for each individual.
We offer a wide range of treatments aimed a dealing with every level of substance misuse including:
- Intensive treatment through residential detox
- Rehabilitation (rehab) and aftercare in a range of settings from residential or supported accommodation to community based structured day programmes
- Employment and training to help people build new skills
- Needle exchanges and prescribing services
- Open access community services providing advice on health, tackling problematic drug or alcohol use and wider issues such as housing and mental health
- Outreach – taking support to people who often don’t get a service such as street drinkers and sex workers, and reaching people when in crisis, for example in Accident and Emergency departments
- We are also a major provider of services within the Drug Interventions Programme (DIP) for those whose substance misuse has led to their involvement in the criminal justice system
