Alcohol services
At the forefront of treatment
We opened our first alcohol treatment centre in London over 40 years ago so we can say with some authority that we understand the issues people with alcohol dependency face.
We take people at their own pace through their recovery and treat them in an alcohol-free environment.
We use our experience to offer a range of services to deal with every level of alcohol misuse including:
- Intensive treatment through residential detox
- Rehabilitation (rehab) and aftercare in a range of settings from residential or supported accommodation to community based structured day programmes
- Employment and training to help people build new skills
- Open access community services providing advice on health, tackling problematic alcohol misuse and wider issues such as housing and mental health
- Outreach – taking support to people who often don’t get a service such as street drinkers and sex workers, and reaching people when in crisis, for example in Accident and Emergency departments.
We always look at a ‘whole’ person, as the root of the problem is generally much more involved than the immediate issue. We treat every person in a caring and holistic way, dealing with family, career and general health needs as much as helping people to stay well.
