Turning Point has brought together partners across the private, statutory and third sector to provide a ‘menu’ of stepped care interventions. This enables commissioners to select the options that enhance their local provision and best fit the needs of their communities. Turning Point’s model can also broker in smaller, more specialist organisations to provide a seamless pathway of support for service users.

Turning Point will manage the pathway between steps and recovery options, ensuring that the service user gets the most appropriate intervention for their needs with an emphasis on supporting people “upstream” thereby preventing deterioration and subsequent referral to secondary care services. As a leading social care provider Turning Point has experience of managing large, complex contracts, including the movement of staff under TUPE regulations as required.

Key benefits for stakeholders:

  • Choice - Rightsteps consists of a menu of options maximising service user choice including choice of referral route, range of self help methodologies and Step 3 delivery mechanisms (including groups, one to one and e-therapy)
  • Partnerships - Rightsteps brings together statutory, private and 3rd sector organisations to respond the local needs of individuals and communities
  • Wellbeing Co-ordinators - They complete assessments and then support, motivate and mentor service users through their Rightsteps experience and towards recovery, helping people to enhance their employment and training options
  • 3rd Sector led - Turning Point is operating as a solution provider working collaboratively, not in competition with other sectors, to provide value for money through social enterprise. Not for profit but investing in communities.
