Health and social care organisation Turning Point, today welcomed the re-launch of FRANK - the national drugs information and advice service provided by the Department of Health (DH), the Home Office (HO) and the Department for Education (DfE).

Turning Point's Director of Substance Misuse Services, John Mallalieu said;

"Turning Point provides young people and their families with a range of tailored support which helps them to tackle substance misuse issues.  We are pleased that FRANK will continue to compliment the work we do by providing information, advice and signposting to local services.  At a time when so many new substances are emerging, it is more important than ever that young people have appropriate information available when they need it."

Theresa Allen works as a Young People's Project Worker at Turning Point's T2 service in Maidenhead.  She said;

"It's good to hear that FRANK are re-launching their national helpline. Through my work, I see young people every day who have begun experimenting with the wide range of substances available. The helpline resource will help to inform young people to make safe and sensible choices, as well as point those who need further support in the direction of providers such as Turning Point."
