Tea Party at Wilbraham Road

News item posted: 30 July 2014

On Saturday 2nd August Turning Point Wibraham Road will be holding an afternoon tea party for residents, friends and family and the local community.

Turning Point Wilbraham Road provides supported accommodation for 11 adults with severe and enduring mental health needs. The service supports its residents to develop the skills they need to live independently: improving management of finances, supporting access to local services and signposting to education and training opportunities. Residents set realistic, achievable goals on their support plans with guidance from the team and monitor their own progress against these. Event organiser

Dimitra Sampani, Recovery Support Worker at Turning Point Wilbraham Road spoke of her excitement about the occasion,

"With summer well and truly here we wanted to make the most of the good weather with an afternoon of fun in the outdoors. There will be tea and refreshments as well as a packed programme of games for people to enjoy. The afternoon will be a great opportunity to celebrate recovery and for people locally to get to know more about what we do here."
