News item posted: 17 March 2017

Today Turning Point starts delivering an integrated drug and alcohol service for the people of Medway.

The Medway Active Recovery Service is dedicated to showing there is a way out of drug and alcohol dependency, encouraging Medway service users to achieve their individual potential. We will offer a range of services across Medway that support the individual in achieving their treatment goals, supporting them through their recovery journey and providing wellbeing support and aftercare through Turning Point's peer-mentor programme.

Selina Douglas, Managing Director for Substance Misuse and offending at Turning Point said;

"We are delighted to be able to provide a new integrated drug and alcohol treatment service in the Medway area and are looking forward to working with local residents, services and businesses to deliver this innovative service."

"At Turning Point we have a strong track record in community involvement and we will be looking for opportunities to forge local partnerships on user and carer involvement in order to ensure the right services are accessible to those who need them most."
