Fiona Ritchie, Managing Director for Learning Disability Services at Turning Point says more needs to be done to support people with autism

In response to news released today showing that people with autism are dying earlier than the general population, Fiona Ritchie said:

‘It is shocking to learn that people with autism are dying younger than the general population. Recently, Sir Stephen Bubb’s report showed that there is still work to be done in reforming support for people with a learning disability, and today’s news shows that this is the case for people with autism too. More needs to be done to ensure that people with autism get the same support as everyone else, improving their quality of life.’
