Turning Point to Create 88 Jobs Near Chesterfield
Turning Point gained local coverage in the Derbyshire Times, The
Chesterfield Post and BBC Radio Sheffield following news that our
new hospital facility near Chesterfield will create 88 jobs for
local people.
Adam’s Story
Adam Rowley, a support worker at Turning Point's Catalyst
service in Wales has shared his story with Wesh titles, The Lanelli
Star, Wales on Sunday and the South Wales Evening Post, in a bid to
inspire others.
Letter on Social Care Reforms
Turning Point was a signatory of the letter calling for
cross-party support for lasting social care reforms. The letter
gained extensive coverage within the media including: BBC, The
Guardian, Daily Mail, The Independent, Sky News and a slot on the
Today Programme.
Bottling It Up
Turning Point launched Bottling It Up: The Next Generation in
December. The report highlighted the effects of parental alcohol
misuse on children and families and gained widespread media
coverage, including items on over 155 radio stations, BBC News, Sky
News, ITV Wales, ITV Daybreak, Radio Five Live, Radio 1, Daily
Mail, Daily Express, international coverage (in US and India) and
various coverage in trade and regional titles.
Turning Point help one man and his dog find a home
Glenda Lee, Regional Manager in Hemel Hemstead has helped to
find Derek, and his dog Buddy, a new home after Derek's trouble
trying to find a housemate who was willing to live with
animals.
Connected Care Long Term Conditions
Turning Point Connected Care's project in Gorleston, Norfolk
which gives people with long-term conditions the opportunity to
shape health services received various coverage in the local media
in December. Titles included The Waveney Advertiser, The Great
Yarmouth Mercury and the Evening News (Norwich).
