What we think: personalisation
Turning Point supports the continued development of a long term strategy of personalisation that integrates support across health and social care. Regardless of whether an individual takes control of the money themselves, it is imperative that individuals in all social care and health settings should have control over creating and directing the support package that best meets their needs and helps them achieve their goals.
Turning Point believes that people, especially those with complex needs, should not be placed in a pre-existing service and expected to adjust. Rather services should be flexible enough to be built around the individual, reflecting each individual’s priorities, aims and ambitions, centred on achieving greater independence.
Turning Point’s approach to personalisation is to be a leader in providing personalised services for the long term through developing and piloting our products and back-office functions to find out what works for the individuals we support, for us as a business and for the market as it develops and matures.
