Turning Point statement on third sector involvement in running prisons

    Turning Point statement

Commenting on third sector involvement in running prisons, Turning Point's Assistant Director of Strategic Development, Sue Harris says:

"Although it is Turning Point's policy not to comment on specific ongoing business tenders, it is important to point out that we are delighted that new, innovative ways of working in the criminal justice system are being created. Central to this is a dynamic partnership of various agencies from the private and third sectors. This means that partners are able to draw on a multiplicity of skills with the needs of staff and prisoners of paramount importance. We look forward to seeing new and innovative models of delivery in the criminal justice system."
