4/11/08 - Delivering Change: Social Enterprise Health & Social Care Conference, London The health and social care sectors in England are undergoing considerable change. Over the last few years the government has committed to an ongoing process of modernisation taht will strive to meet the needs of the individual. offer more joined-up solutions, dirve up standards and quality, and place deicsions increasingly with front line personnel. Social enterprise has been identified as an important delivery mechanism to achieve these aims. This one day conference will explore the opportunities and challenges these changes present and provide an overview of the government's vision for the role of social enterprise in transforing health and social care in England. Speakers include Lord Victor Adebowale and Richard Kramer, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Connected Care.

5/11/08 - Personalisation and socially excluded groups, London
A partnership conference by Turning Point and Revolving Doors organised by Pavilion. This conference will look at personalisation and how to engage the socially excluded in local communities and prisons so we can address people’s most complex needs. We will consider how we can meet the whole needs of the community, integrating health, housing and social care in the most deprived communities as well as looking at commissioning, Local Area Agreements and individual budgets. 6/11/08 – Alcohol, The Debate, Liverpool
Hosted in partnership with John Moores University and chaired by Professor Mark Bellis, Director of Public Health at JMU, HIT are holding this one day event at the Liner Hotel in Liverpool.  A selection of speakers will discuss alcohol and young people, alcohol and health, alcohol and public safety, responsible alcohol industry, role of government, and alcohol and housing.
