Turning Point is in constant contact with the media, MPs and policymakers to publicise our work and promote a better understanding and informed debate on social care provision in the UK. For media interviews we provide national and local spokespeople on issues connected with drug and alcohol misuse, mental health and learning disability. Interviews are frequently given by our Chief Executive, Lord Victor Adebowale and our Director of Policy Richard Kramer as well as a number of specialist and experienced spokespeople. Our service users also choose to do interviews with our support.
Events
Turning Point runs a full and diverse events programme throughout the year on the broader context of social care as well as more specific activities focusing on our particular areas of expertise. Our events are aimed at a range of audiences from front line workers to policy makers and policiticians. In addition we regularly provide experienced and knowledgeable speakers to represent Turning Point at external events.
