Working in
Wales
Turning Point
Cymru, firmly rooted in Wales, is a distinctive part of Turning
Point. We combine our experience of providing effective social care
solutions across the UK, with an emphasis on tailoring our services
to the needs of the local community.
We are committed
to developing our work across Wales, and pride ourselves on
developing life-changing services that meet the diverse needs of
our service users. Turning Point Cymru has a particular focus on
the needs of people in Wales, including specific policy, governance
and language issues.
Providing connected care
We design and
deliver services which provide a joined-up approach to people's
complex social needs. By focusing on the person rather than the
problem we aim to provide connected care, enabling people to
transform their lives and help them to be part of their
community.
Working in
partnership
Our skilled staff
work with a range of professionals and partner agencies from social
services to the criminal justice system and Jobcentre Plus.
Involving service users in all areas of our business is also
crucial, from producing individual care plans to the design and
delivery of services and influencing policy and strategy.
Our services
Our services are
always finding new ways to support people with complex needs. We
work with local commissioners to provide the best solution for
their community and work with the communities themselves to ensure
that our services are relevant and accessible. Many of our projects
provide a unique combination of mental health, learning disability
and substance misuse expertise within one service. We can also
offer one-to-one support for people whose challenging behaviour
means they have been excluded from other services.
We have developed
a range of innovative service models across the spectrum of social
care. This means that we can support people in whatever situation
works best, ranging from drop-in centres, our residential homes and
detox units to prisons and police stations or settings chosen by
the service user.
