- Our work in substance misuse
Turning Point is the largest
provider of substance misuse services in the non-profit sector. We
have specialist, as well as generalist, workers in our services
across England and Wales.
Our substance misuse
services
For people who urgently need specialist treatment and
rehabilitation, our detoxification services offer residential,
24-hour specialist care; structured therapy; training and
employment and home-based detoxification.
Many socially excluded people need
residential or supported accommodation and we
offer this for a range of people such as street drinkers, young
people and families.
Our community services provide an extensive range
of opportunities from day programmes, needle exchanges and
prescribing services as well as employment and training support.
Our social care approach means that we are always
aware of people's wider needs, for example our young people's
services are designed to consider the whole spectrum of emotional,
educational, family, career and general health needs.
For those whose substance misuse has led to their
involvement in the criminal justice system, we are a major provider
of services within the Drug Interventions
Programme including Arrest Referral services, Drug
Treatment and Testing Order schemes and Drug Rehabilitation
Requirements, court workers and Prison Link work.
