- Our work in mental health
We provide a range of mental health services
across the country. In all our services we believe in providing
person centred approaches to care, so care will be tailored to the
needs of the individual.
Our mental health services
Our crisis services offer 24 hour, staffed, shortstay accommodation
as well as drop-in facilities, telephone support and access to
other services.
Some of our service users may have a personality disorder, a
co-existing substance misuse problem or a learning disability in
addition to their mental health needs and may have been in contact
with the criminal justice system. This may cause difficulties in
accessing traditional services. Our assertive community
outreach programmes and specialist forensic
services plug this gap by offering intensive,
individualised support.
Many people need help maintaining their tenancies in order to
retain their independence and our innovative supported
housing services provide assertive out-reach and in-reach.
For people affected by severe conditions, some of whom may have
been detained under the Mental Health Act, our residential services
encourage independence through a combination of 24-hour care, life
skills training and use of local facilities.
All our mental health services are committed to a
personalised, flexible, recovery-focused approach
for often high-risk clients. Individuals are encouraged to live in
the community and have access to local facilities as well as
statutory services.
