Our work in learning disability

In all our services we believe in providing person centred approaches to care, so care will be tailored to the needs of the individual. In learning disability services we have a programme of peer inspections that means we are constantly checking and improving on the quality of our services.

Our learning disability services
So that our service users can develop their individual interests, our support services encourage them to make choices about the activities they engage in within their community, from courses at local colleges and leisure facilities to training and employment.

We offer one-to-one support for people with complex needs and service users whose challenging behaviour means they have been excluded from other day services.

Some of our service users need or prefer to live in our registered care homes or nursing homes. For those who prefer to live more independently, we provide supported housing, helping people to live in their own home. This includes supporting people to move on from more institutional environments. We offer varying levels of support depending on a person's individual need so they can take an active role in running their home and make use of community activities.
