The New Business and Contracts department's
primary role is to ensure that Turning Point's first strategic
objective is met, that is 'To achieve a greater number of services
nationally, providing integrated care for individuals and
communities'. Our responsibility is to make sure that Turning Point
grows as an organisation, providing more and better services across
England and Wales. We build on the experience and skills of our
existing services and staff to develop for the future.
The department's role in this is to identify development and
tender opportunities and to take them all the way from a service
specification to a real and robust service providing support to
people in their community. This involves producing a service model
to meet the care needs, producing a fully costed budget, meeting
strict deadlines and giving presentations to commissioners to
demonstrate how we successfully turn lives around.
We have recently been working new developments in the areas
around forensic services, personality disorder services,
challenging behaviour and co-morbidity. We have expertise in the
development and provision of service to those with complex
needs.
One of our current development aims is to bring together all the
different strands of our service provision to provide Connected
Care to most deprived estates in England and Wales.
